About Us

Who Are We?

How Often Do We Meet?

What Do We Bargain?

The Bargaining Team is made up of MEA representatives, our CTA rep, principals from elementary, middle, and high school, special education, and district personnel.  Ultimately, all decisions made by this team must be ratified by our membership and approved by our school board.

What Do We Bargain?

The constants that we negotiate every year are salaries, benefits, and working conditions.  Other responsibilities include planning the school calendar and making adjustments to our contract as needed.

How Often Do We Meet?

Our first meeting will take place in September.  At that time MEA and the district will present their individual interests for the year.   From there we will meet monthly to come to agreements that will be mutually acceptable and beneficial.  Additionally, your union president, CTA rep, and sometimes vice-president, meet with Dr. Lasure weekly at Round Table to take care of more immediate concerns.
