We Stand Strong Together
Since 1863, the California Teachers Association has been advocating for our professions, our students and our schools. CTA and MEA membership gives us the voice and influence we don't have alone. Together we will keep fighting to protect our right to speak up and speak out for our students and the high quality education they deserve.
Our Goals
Our goals include maintaining our collaborative relationship with the district and our school board, communicating with our members frequently and effectively, and to be a strong advocate for our students and teachers.
What Do We Do For You?
Support/defend members' rights * Strive to improve working conditions * Collaborate to improve best teaching practices * Monitor/enforce/negotiate our contract * Represent members in meetings that could lead to disciplinary actions * Present views of colleagues to MUSD's leadership * Maintain consistent communication with our members
